"An O in Hell" is a song written by Austin Scholl and recorded under his alias ThornBrain. It appeared on the promotional Spider compilation as an outtake from Nobody Cares Unless You're Pretty or Dying.

About

The song is written as mostly nonsense based around twisting cliches, as well as random lyric ideas Thorn came up with while walking around his backyard at night. The first verse is an intentional play on cliches such as "What have you done" and "where have you been". The title is a pun on "hello", and it was something he said to his friends over Skype, after which he immediately decided to write a song titled it.

The lines "Do you remember how you met me/When the forest came into the city" refers to one of the album's considered titles: Forest Came Into the City, which was taken from a caption for a set of modern Chernobyl photos.

It was one of the first songs recorded for Nobody Cares..., but it was dropped from the album when Thorn decided it wasn't good enough to pay money for. He may rework it at a later date.

Lyrics

Who have you done
What have you been
When are you
Why are you

Draggin backwards through the Summer
Body checking a helicopter
Now they're glad you're not a bother
Anymore (Anymore)
Hope they find a place where they can
Bury you (Bury you)
Rocks, dirt, miscellaneous
Extremeties

Bet you're glad that you can't think now
Bet you're glad you can't remember how
Bet you feel like an O in hell

Who have you done (What have you been)
When are you (Why are you)

Why can't I feel like an O in hell
Why can't I feel like an O in hell
Do you remember how you met me
And the forest came into the city
